Position:  I.T. Project Manager for Network Services

 

Duties include managing projects affecting the corporate network infrastructure, managing corporate software licensing and maintenance contracts, assisting with network/technology requirements for remote office moves, assisting in troubleshooting where applicable, working with vendors to receive necessary quotations and contracts.

 

Exemplary Accomplishments

  • Establishing Project Management Documentation and Protacal where known existed

  • Coordinated the evaluation and selection of a Systems Management Software

  • Oversaw the setup of the LANDesk Management System Evaluation Platform

  • Conducted necessary meetings and events to assure that the LANDesk System was properly tested

  • Oversaw the deployment of the full LANDesk Management System and System Server Manager once it had been selected as the system of choice

  • Did preliminary deployment and training of the Help Desk with remote control package for LANDesk

  • Brought the Purchase Order Database back up to date

Position: PC Technician

 

Initially hired as Help Desk Detail to assist in swapping out over 3200 laptops with new Dell systems. In September, I was moved into a transitional Detail which required imaging pc's; telephone support with the help desk; pc repair; check-in, cleaning and evaluation of returning hardware including laptops, multifunction printers, hard drives and other equipment. July 8th my PC Tech position was officially made permanent. Responsibilities include; computer repair and setup; inventory management; end user training and support of both hardware and software; On-site installations and repairs; Self management of time and tasks to complete tasks on schedule.

 

Exemplary Accomplishments

·         Completed second in-depth background investigation to increase level to SSBI.

·         Assisted in development of a statistical spread sheet to be used to monitor the progress of case load and employee workload used for quality control and performance evaluation. Received recognition for my work from the department using the spreadsheet

·         Installation of pc's and setup of Virtual Private Network in 4 remote offices as part of efforts to increase data throughput from the Investigators. Third and fourth offices were on my own requiring dealing with critical time sensitive issues and problems.

·         Tested critical operational and failure points for new corporate Field Investigator Hard Drive Image. This image would use VMWare ACE to develop a secondary/guest machine on the end user’s hard drive. Testing involved attempting to find failure points as well as trial of new connection settings for virtual private network over broadband Internet Connections. Crash testing VMWare to find faults that end user’s might come upon causing drive failure. Testing password characteristics for power on and bios level passwords.

·         Assigned as Point of Contact to Office of Personnel Management/FIPC for troubleshooting of network and connection problems. As part of this task I was put in charge of acquiring individual user accounts from OPM/FIPC for access on their network via dial-up or broadband virtual private network.

·         Took on critical roll during field swap of the new Field Investigator Image. Traveled up to three weeks in a row straight during the Months of January, February and March. Responsible for meeting numbers of drives swapped as set forth in schedule. Also was required to handle standard job duties of pc repair and troubleshooting as well as OPM/FIPC Individual Account creation through travel period whether in office or in field.

·         Was awarded ‘Night on the Town Certificate’ for my simultaneous work on the OPM/FIPC Individual Account Roll Out and Field Investigator Hard Drive evaluation.

·         Was recommended for Job Position of Project Manager/Continuity Director. Position was relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

·         Working on wireless connectivity instruction and troubleshooting guides to assist field as are allowed to begin to use wireless connections.

·         Currently testing full hard drive encryption scheme that will be deployed to field when ready to protect against data theft/loss in the event a computer or drive is lost or stolen.

Primary responsibilities include processing of cases to verify completeness and entering cases into the custom software.

Position required; Knowledge of and demonstration of Typing skills; Accuracy and timeliness; Completion of detailed background check to be able to enter and process sensitive data and personal information on a government and military level; Independence and self management of time was required to meet production levels and customer timeliness requirements.
